Cheap Frigidaire 10000 Btu Window Air Conditioner and Temp Remote, Review If you’re looking for an a/c that is going to turn a big space into Antartica, this isn’t the a/c for you but if you’ve a mid-sized room and want it nice and cool with low humidity, you’ll love this a/c. Truly does a great work. The sleep mode is excellent, as are the fan controls. I’m not certain how accurate the temp on the remote is as it always feels very a bit cooler in here than the remote indicates, but maybe that’s simply because my desk is only a few feet away from the unit. Easy as pie to install, no damage throughout shipping or delivery.

Like the other reviewer mine arrived with 1 vent disconnected. Not a large deal. It was very well packaged and 5 minutes to install. The fit and finish is excellent. Today it had been pretty humid out but only 86 degrees. We have had the unit running for a couple of hours at max cool and it really has not cooled things down. In some parts of the room it does not feel like it is working. The air at the vent is reasonably cold but not what it had been. I will give it another day or two and be making a decision on calling. Will keep you within the loop. Their solution would be to cut me a examine for the cost i paid for the item. I asked if I could take it to an authorized service center and I was told it would void the warranty. I wanted to purchase one more Frigidaire since they took care of me with the last unit but it is a tough bullet to bite at that price.

Loved the ac but Amazon sent us 3 all via UPS and they all arrived crushed. Even tried overnight air and it had been crushed in the bottom so the condensor was tilted backward and sounded like a helicopter running. I suggest this ac but do not buy it on the internet go get one yourself and open the box and check each and every inch of it out prior to you leave the store. That’s what we ended up performing.

It does a reasonable job cooling. The remote temp sensor is really a nice function, though occasionally it stops functioning and then the ac doesn’t run. You just need to reenable it and it keeps going, but sometimes you do not understand it until you wake up sweating. The ionic air purification is also good. I use the sleep timer throughout the day when I’m not home. Programmable temperauture settings would have been a nice function.
